Our online modules, excluding the pre-course mcq, open in a separate browser window. If a window does not appear when you open a module, it may be because your browser’s content settings are preventing this from happening. To override the most common pop-up blockers, follow the relevant browser's steps below: 


Please note, instructions may vary depending on what version of the browser is being used.  

 

Google Chrome: 

  1. Click the ‘Tools’ icon in the top right-hand corner of the browser. 

  1. Select the ‘Settings’ option near the bottom of the list. 

  1. Click ‘Show advanced settings’ at the bottom of the ‘Settings’ tab. 

  1. Under 'Privacy' choose ‘Content Settings…’. 

  1. A pop-up window will appear. Scroll down until you reach ‘Pop-ups’, make sure that ‘Allow all sites to show pop-ups’ is selected, and click ‘Done’   

 

Internet Explorer: 

  1. Go to the 'Tools' menu, select the ‘Privacy’ tab, and locate 'Pop-up blocker' 

  1. Select 'Pop-up blocker settings' 

  1. Enter the site web address into the 'Address of website to allow' text field 

  1. Click 'Add' and then 'OK' to close the window. 

 

Safari: 

  1. Go to the 'Edit' menu, or ‘Preferences’ if you are using an Apple OS. 

  1. If there is a tick next to the 'Block pop-up windows' option, pop-up blocking is enabled  untick this option to disable the pop-up blocker.   

 

Firefox: 

  1. Go to the 'Firefox' menu and select 'Options' 

  1. Select the 'Content' tab 

  1. Un-tick the 'Block popup windows' check box 

  1. If you wish to continue using the pop-up blocker for other sites: 

  1. Go to the 'Firefox' menu and select 'Options' 

  1. Select the 'Content' tab 

  1. Click on the 'Exceptions' button next to the 'Block popup windows' check box 

  1. Enter the site web address into the 'Address of website to allow' text field 

  1. Click 'Enable' 

  1. Select 'Close' and then 'OK'.
