Please note, this error message is for the RCUK eILS Learning Portal and not the RCUK LMS.
This error message means there is already an account associated with the email address on the portal, but that this account has not been activated.
To resolve the issue, you need to activate your account by following the below directions.
- When you first set yourself up for an account, you should have received an email about activating your account. This email was sent from ‘gomocentral’ with the subject line ‘Email verification for your RCUK Learning Portal account’. If you cannot find the email, please check your junk/spam folder. Please note, the link provided in your activation email does not expire!
- If you have accidentally deleted/cannot find the email, we are able to order a new activation code for you on the next working day; this will take a minimum of 24 hours (during the normal working week). Please raise a new support ticket and choose the appropriate enquiry category, e.g. eILS Learning Portal, so that your enquiry can be actioned quickly. Please supply the email address that you’ve used when trying to access the eILS Learning Portal, and ensure you currently have access to that email account.
- If you have never used the system before and have received the ‘invalid user’ error message, please contact us on email@example.com outlining the email address you tried to register with the account, the name of the centre, the date of the course and your contact details.
- Alternatively, you can create a new account on the eILS Learning Portal with a different email address which you have access to. If you choose to do this, remember that you will need to activate the account for the new email address used.
Please be reassured that if you are unable to access your e-learning prior to the course, you should not be turned away. However, you must read your course manual thoroughly before attending.
