What happens after I have completed the GIC?

Modified on Wed, 19 Mar at 4:40 PM

Once a candidate has completed the face-to-face element of the GIC, they become Instructor Candidates (ICs) for their referring provider course. ICs are required to instruct on two provider courses, and senior faculty members will assess their ability to apply the teaching skills learned during the GIC to the materials of the provider course. A post-course module designed to prepare candidates for the IC process is available on the GIC VLE.

If an IC successfully completes their Instructor Candidacy courses, they are accredited as a full course instructor and receive an instructor certificate valid for four years.
