Why can't I login into the RCUK LMS?

Trying to log in using your username (email) and password?


  • Ensure you are using the correct email address (must be entered in lowercase) and it is registered on the platform.
  • Ensure you are correctly entering your password without adding any additional spaces on either side. If you have forgotten this, you can request a new one from “I have forgotten my password.”
  • Please note that after 5 failed login attempts, the system will briefly lock the account.
  • You will receive an email containing a time-limited link to unlock the account. 
  • If the email cannot be located, please check your junk or spam folder.
  • If you no longer have access to that email address, please contact RCUK.


Trying to log in with your MFA code?


  • Enter the code sent to your registered email/authentication app. 
    • The MFA code issued via email is valid for 60 minutes and can only be used once.
    • The MFA code issued via the authentication app refreshes approximately every 30 seconds.
  • Please note that after 5 failed MFA attempts, your account will be locked and can only be unlocked by the RCUK team.


If requested emails (forgotten password or verification emails) do not arrive, please check your junk or spam folder. We recommend adding the following sender's email address to your allowed list:

  • no-reply@lms.resus.org.uk
  • lms@resus.org.uk
  • courses@resus.org.uk 
  • enquiries@resus.org.uk
